The annual Woof Woof Walk Saturday, Oct. 22 in Spanaway Park from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. will benefit Pierce County Parks and Recreation youth programs.
The family oriented event allows the community to gather with family pets during a morning of learning and fun.
“It will be an exciting day with canine costume contests and other fun activities,” said Meredith Smith, recreation supervisor.
The featured attraction is a 1.5 mile or 3 mile walk. Also included are “ruffle” drawings, free pet treats and specialty item vendor booths. Participants will receive doggy bags and bandannas for their four-legged partners while supplies last.
Costs $15 for the first dog and $5 for the second. On-site registration is $20 and begins at 9:30 a.m. T-shirts are available for $10.
