There are so many health benefits to yoga but sometimes the idea of walking into a class can be a little intimidating, especially with all the specific poses and breathing techniques. So why not start off with a beginner’s class? Pierce County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring an Intro to Yoga Fundamentals Series taught by Source Yoga which is designed to teach and explain the basics of yoga postures and breathing. This series is perfect for those who are brand new to yoga or those who just want to refine their skills. Each class will be gentle and geared towards beginners and the knowledgeable instructors are there to help you with any special needs or concerns. The classes will be held at the North Tacoma Studio and the University Place Studio. The cost of each 6 week session is $75 and it’s open to ages 15 and up. For a full list of session dates and locations see below. To register go to http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/abtus/ourorg/parks/parks.htm and click on “Register Online Go!”
