In honor of Veteran's Day Mt. Rainier National Park entrance fees will be waived November 11-13. Being so close to this amazing national park is just one of the great things about living in Yelm. Yelm is located approximately 60 miles NE of the park entrance. Mt. Rainier is a wonderful place to visit year round. In the winter there is a sledding hill at Paradise and the summer time provides wonderful hiking opportunities for you to enjoy the majestic scenery. All vehicles are required to have snow chains on hand from November 1st to May 1st. If you would like to find out more about the Mt. Rainier National Park visit the parks website atwww.nps.gov.
