This weekend is the grand opening of the Warrior Zone on Joint Base Lewis/McChord.The best way to describe this innovative facility is as a high-tech entertainment playground for adults.Any DOD or military cardholders or their dependents 18 years of age or older can go to the Warrior Zone to play video games on huge 52 HD TV screens, watch movies on a 15' HD movie screen, play pool, chill at the sports bar or buy a quick bite to eat at the food bar.Outside the facility is a large covered patio complete with 2 BBQ grills, keg dispensers and wall-mounted TVs for your get-togethers.
The military's Morale, Welfare and Recreation sponsors many facilities for teens and children to meet the needs of active duty families, but this is the first free hang-out specifically designed for adults. The grand opening this Saturday, January 28 includes a DJ, free food samples, giveaways, door prizes and a full-out gaming tournament.
This facility is a great entertainment value for these wet winter days. How can you beat FREE?For more information, you can call the Warrior Center at 253-477-5756.
