There’s no better way to start off the New Year, and even cross something off your bucket list, than with a cold plunge in Lake Tapps at the 7th Annual Polar Bear Plunge and Food Drive! The event will be held January 1st, 2013 at Driftwood Point Park, address is listed below, and the actual plunge will happen at noon so arrive early to get ready. In addition to the plunge, there will also be a canned food drive supporting the Bonney Lake and Sumner Food Banks so don’t forget to bring something to donate! After taking an icy dip in the cold lake you can warm up by the bon fire. This event is all about fun so costumes are encouraged and bring shoes to wear in the lake to protect your feet from the rocks. Also please do not bring any pets or alcohol. For more information or if you have any questions email Scott firstname.lastname@example.org.
