Admittedly, October is one of my favorite months to be in Gig Harbor. While the rain may become a little more frequent, it cannot dampen the Fall spirit in the air! The leaves are turning color, patio sets are being swapped out for fire pits, and the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks are welcomed back with great enthusiasm.
Just come up to Sehmel Park between 11a-5p this Saturday and enjoy a great day filled with live music, yummy food, carnival games, pony rides and a kids zone for the younger ones. There will be plenty of booths and sponsors and fun things to do for the kids, and as if they hadn't thought of everything else, there will even be a beer garden for the adults!
I happen to also know firsthand that this year the scarecrow contest is going to be a run for the (prize) money! Local businesses like our favorite outdoor market Patterson's have been selling straw by the half-bales to local teams for their entries. PenMet Parks has received entry forms from all around the harbor, and even local schools like the Gig Harbor Co-Op are getting in on the festival fun. Make sure when you come to the festival that you vote for your favorite display, because the public determines the winners!
So plan to stop by Sehmel Park when you are out and about this Saturday for caramel apples, face painting, and fun! See you there!

" Brandi spent an entire Saturday running my husband (who had just flown in for a couple days from Connecticut) all around to different towns near and far from the Olympia area. She was very friendly and professional in every interaction we have had, and she always looked out for our best interests. I believe she sincerely wanted to help us find the perfect house to suit our preferences. In addition, she drove to several homes that we were interested in and made videos so that we could get a clear idea of what the houses and neighborhoods were like. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Brandi! Best experience we've ever had with a realtor, hands down. "
