Spring ran a little late this year in our neck of the woods, and summer is getting a slow start as well. Just in the past few weeks we have started to see some really nice rays of sun! Home maintenance and yard work to do lists are under way. I have attended several home inspections and can tell you on fatal mistake people make when maintaining their home…… never pressure wash your roof!
My home inspector always says the same line, “pressure washing a roof can take a new roof to an old roof in about 30 minutes”. He is right. Even a light pressure washing can loosen the granules on composition roofs and reduce their life and cause you headaches next winter. Zinc powder is a good alternative to kill the moss, or for a more permanent solution you can install a zinc strip on the peak of the roof.
Pressure washers are great tools for a lot of things, but as a general rule it is best to keep them on the ground!

"Brandi's patience and professionalism is what I will carry with me from this experience. My home purchase became quite the extended mess, set back after set back, on the sellers part. Without Brandi's ability to explain all the steps we were having to take and retrace, I would have lost my patience. And not once during the whole stereotypical real estate "nightmare" did she lose her cool. Brandi made my first home buying experience one I'll never forget, in a good way!
