Since 1990 Professional Actors and theatrical designers have been terrifyingmilitary patrons at their Walk in the Dark at Shoreline Park.Usually home to boaters, kayakers, picnickers, and swimmers, American Lake's military run park gets a frightful make-over for Halloween.Each year's production promises to be more elaborate than the last with lights, sounds, sets, and a cast of hair-raising ghouls.Families and large groups come from all over the region to kick-start their Halloween festivities with a good scare.
If your little one is not quite up to the intense, heart-pounding action, Theatrical Nightmare also offers a not-so-scary version October 29th from 4-6 p.m.But, if you can handle a few screams, A Walk in the Dark at Shoreline Park will be open for you on October 28, 29 and 31 from 7-9 p.m.And while you're there, check out the facilities on American Lake for a great family getaway during the not-so-scary season.
