Businesses in downtown Olympia love trick-or-treaters.This year they will host Monstrous Treats and Treasure October 31 from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.Go to the Mixx 96 radio website to find a business participation map, and then begin your search for what they call ugly dolls. If your child finds an UglyDoll in one of the participating stores, his/her name will be entered into the big treasure chest give away at the end of the festivities.
After you finish up in downtown Olympia, you have time to take the big kids to "The Old Firehouse Haunted House," sponsored by Capital Playhouse and Family Support Center at the corner of Capitol Way and State Ave.Admission is $5, and includes a theatrical presentation of Michael Jackson's Thriller, put on by the Capital Playhouse troupe.(After 7 p.m. the haunted house is rated PG-13, and children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.)
